Christ Church Hosts the
2009 Arlington Turkey Trot
5K Fun Run/Walk
We
reached the
2,000 person race maximum!
ANOTHER GREAT RACE!
 Put
on your running shoes, or your walking shoes, or even grab
your dog, kids, or a stroller. Christ Church of Arlington is hosting
its annual Arlington Turkey Trot: 5k
Fun Run/Walk around the Lyon
Park and Ashton Heights neighborhood. See RACE
MAP. (Course certified as 5K by USA Track & Field.) The
mission of the Arlington Turkey Trot is to provide an opportunity
for people of all ages to enjoy a fun, healthy Thanksgiving activity
together,
and to raise support for three local charities: Arlington-Alexandria
Coalition for the Homeless (AACH), Doorways for
Women & Families, and Arlington
Food Assistance Center. Visit our "Local
Ministries" page for more about these
three groups.
In 2008, (see photos)
the Arlington Turkey Trot had 1,501 registered
participants and we raised $23,150 for
two charities.
We
celebrate God's grace in blessing this effort to help
our community. Past
